Sikorski presented with MAOFP Distinguished Service Award
The Michigan Association of Osteopathic Family Physicians (MAOFP) has presented Mark Sikorski, D.O., FACOFP, with its 2014 Distinguished Service Award.
The Distinguished Service Award is given to an individual exemplifying outstanding dedication to the profession by contribution to the advancement of osteopathic family practice in Michigan. The award winner demonstrates the highest qualities of professional and public service that have positively influenced osteopathic family medicine.
Sikorski is the site medical director at Henry Ford Macomb Hospital-Farmbrooke Family Medicine. He also serves as a clinical assistant professor of medicine for MSUCOM and also as a year I clinical medicine course-site instructor for Wayne State University. He is also a clinical assistant professor at Western University and clinical associate professor at Kansas City University.
An MSUCOM alumnus, Sikorski serves on the American College of Osteopathic Family Physicans (ACOFP) board of directors, as an ACOFP House of Delegates speaker and as the ACOFP Resolution Review Committee chairman. He is also the Macomb County Delegate to the Michigan Osteopathic Association House of Delegates and serves on the Michigan Osteopathic College Fund board of trustees.
Sikorski is a past president of the MAOFP. He received his ACOFP Distinguished Fellowship designation in 2013, and is recognized as a guardian of the profession by the American Osteopathic Association.
