External Programs is dedicated to serving the needs of MSUCOM students, alumni and the surrounding community through the development of myriad programs and services that foster communication, cultural competency, continuing medical education, governmental relations and stronger relationships with all MSUCOM alumni and friends.
Develops, promotes, implements and evaluates a coordinated alumni program and communication system for the purpose of maintaining a positive linkage between the college and its alumni.
Develops, promotes, implements and evaluates a coordinated system of continuing medical education for the purpose of assisting practicing physicians and other licensed health care providers, when appropriate, to be optimally effective in their delivery of patient care.
Graphic Design/Photography provides the visual identity for the College of Osteopathic Medicine and its units, faculty and staff. Through professional design and photography, the office enhances college publications, research posters, ads, exhibits and other media with imagery that is both attractive and functional.
The MSU College of Osteopathic Medicine’s Communications team is responsible for managing its strategic communications efforts, including planning, conducting and evaluating marketing and public relations strategies, producing the Communique magazine, handling media relations, managing the MSUCOM website, guiding its social media efforts and managing its Facebook, LinkedIn, and Twitter pages and promoting events and achievements of faculty, staff and students.
Collaborates through partnership arrangements with community leadership groups to assist in community-wide initiatives. Develops, coordinates and implements long-range planning and short-range- objective setting related to the college's government relations programs.
