Adjunct Clinical Faculty

Hospital teaching faculty and current SCS residents may apply for a clinical faculty appointment with Michigan State University College of Osteopathic Medicine. A clinical faculty status provides access to all MSU Health Sciences Digital Library resources via a NetID and password. These can be obtained through the following process:

  1. First, the physician must complete the Application for Clinical Faculty Appointment and submit per instructions found on the last page.
  2. To receive your ZPID you must contact the department that corresponds to your specialty (see below).
  3. A 4-digit PIN or PAN (students) is required to activate a new NetID or reset a forgotten NetID password.
  4. Once you have received your ZPID and your PIN number, please request your MSU Net ID. This is usually the first six letters of your last name + 2 digits.
  5. Activate your MSU Net ID. Visit the Net ID website and fill out the form with your ZPID and PIN to activate your account. Once it is activated you will have access to MSU email and resources.

Acquiring a faculty appointment can take some time so it is recommended that the resident apply immediately at the beginning of his or her first year.

All clinical faculty inquiries can be directed to the Business Office.
