Donald P Bartkowski, D.O., FACOS is an Associate Professor in the Department of Osteopathic Surgical Specialties and a pediatric urologist in MSU Urology. He received his medical degree from the Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine, after which he completed general surgery training at the David Grant USAF Medical Center, Travis AFB and Sacramento Medical Center, University of California Davis, then completed his urology residency at the Detroit Osteopathic Hospital.  Following his urology residency training he practiced general urology as a Major in the United States Air Force at Malcolm Grow Medical Center, Washington DC where he obtained board certification in urologic surgery.  With the completion of his Air Force commitment, he went on to complete a pediatric urology fellowship at the Children’s Hospital of Michigan, Detroit Michigan.  Dr. Bartkowski has over 25 years of clinical experience limited to pediatric urology.

Dr. Bartkowski has extensive educational service, including over 20 years’ experience directing urology residency programs and teaching medical courses.  His outreach includes leading and/or participating in 11 international humanitarian missions.  Dr. Bartkowski has published numerous peer-reviewed journal articles most recently on, “Testicular Compartment Syndrome Following Testicular Torsion in a Rat Model”.
