Dr. Debalina Bandyopadhyay is an Assistant Professor of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology as well as the Director of Operations of the MSU College of osteopathic Medicine's Detroit Medical Center (DMC) site. Dr. Bandyopadhyay’s primary responsibilities include providing functional administrative leadership at the DMC site. Dr. Bandyopadhyay is also involved in creating and delivering content in biochemistry and molecular biology to first- and second-year medical students as part of a teaching team. Dr. Bandyopadhyay’s is passionate about working in diversity, equity, inclusivity, and justice (DEIJ) and is very actively involved with different aspects of DEI in the college. Prior to MSUCOM, Dr. Bandyopadhyay was a faculty at University of Michigan-Dearborn. Dr. Bandyopadhyay received her Ph.D. degree from Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur, India. She has done her post-doctoral work at the University of Miami School of Medicine and Keck Graduate Institute of Applied Life Sciences in Claremont, California.
