Dean's Office Communication on COVID-19 - 2020-02-28

Dear MSUCOM community,

I wanted to take a moment to assure all of you that we are monitoring the coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak and its potential implications for our students, employees and clinical operations. We are coordinating with the university in these efforts and our MSU HealthTeam faculty are receiving guidance on their clinical operations. As the situation dictates, students in clinical clerkships will receive instruction from the college and should also be aware of any clinic or hospital specific guidance.

As we anticipate additional updates from the university beyond the most recent update below, we will continue to communicate with you and our community partners.

For our students headed out on spring break next week, be safe and take into consideration the information you received from the Office of Student Affairs and Services outlining the various safety precautions you can take.

To also help keep you informed, be sure to visit MSU’s coronavirus response website which provides the most up-to-date information on the virus and current university health and safety efforts that have been implemented.

Sincerely,

Andrea Amalfitano D.O., Ph.D.
Dean, College of Osteopathic Medicine
